These are truly exquisite colored eggs. They are what I call "going beyond farm fresh". High end feeds and plant seed supplements as well as natural foraging contribute to the distinct taste and golden yoke appearance of these fine eggs.

Various chicken breeds create the shell color variation from subtle blush pinks to russet red, blue and olive. Heirloom breeds like the mid-nineteenth century Barred are brooded with early twentieth century French and Dutch Marans and Welsummer as well as the prolific sex-linked hybrid varieties.

I work hard to provide the best nutrition, safety and overall health and well being of my flock and so I tag them "pet raised". With attention to detail like my vegetable produce I strive for flavor authenticity.
